Top Channel destroying bicentenary olive trees with bulldozers....

Today, on the 16 June 2009, around 9:00 am, bringing along a bulldozer and other equipment, Top Channel with the support of Jori Security (under contract simultaneously with Albafilm Ministry of Culture and Top Channel), without a construction or environment permit, started the macabre destruction of the trees and bicentenary olives in the premises of Kinostudio, at the ex-film lab building next to Marubi Academy.

This act was perpetrated, based on a Decision of the Council of Ministers which doesn’t permit constructions, but just the rent of existent surfaces specifying the obligation of not changing the destination of the existing objects land and building, and on a surrounding permit signed by Tirana’s Mayor and Chief of Opposition Edi Rama.

Despite the AFMM, civil society protest continuing from 120 Days, sometimes violently oppressed by and under the eyes of indifferent State and private police, the murdering of the trees, along with the vanishing of green spaces and the unicentrist betonisation, is today an aggressive cancer attacking every healthy cell of Albanian Citizens.

WE SAW HOW TIRANA AND ALBANIA DEGRADED DURING THOSE YEARS, IN THE NAME OF CAPITAL, BUSINESS, HOUSING, AN OSTENSIBLE DEVELOPMENT…

Today we can unanimously state, we passed from the bunker era to the concrete one.

But the Kinostudio is the historical place where Albanian collective memory was produced and stored. As such it can’t be the place of the contemporary concrete construction, same as the National Theatre and everything around it with the 2001 failed attempt of skyscraper concrete “modernization”.

Forgetting that it is a national necessity, the preservation and the care of “national memory” and of its representing institutions. One day we’ll have to show what we created and produced in this spot, it is today possible that only legends and myths remain as a witness.

AFMM was born in this territory as a continuation of this mission, that’s why we are on our right to preserve our academic facilities, as well as the destination of a space of European Emancipation of our country.

No citizen shall be subjected anymore to betonisation that is cutting the life’s breath, and should seek to meet all the rights of living standards:

dignity, clean air and not dust or cancer smog, non polluted water, where you see green spaces and not sad concrete, and when this ostensible citizen goes in his luxury apartment, will not feel bad by breathing the disgusting air of this city.

Pushed by those alarming destruction acts against the environment and its values, after alerting the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Interior, the Tirana City Hall, the Construction Inspectorate, the Municipal Police, receiving for only answer the silence, as only silence we received during the 120 days of siege along with State Police violence, the private security and especially the total INDIFFERENCE of the cultural public institutions as National Film Center, the Institute of Cultural Monuments and the Albanian Film Archive, located just a few meters where the physical violence and the environmental massacre, citizens, civil society representatives, university members of the Albanian Universities Consortium, representatives of the Albanian Filmmaker Association Lumière, and representatives of the legitimate land owners the Hysa family, will protest tomorrow 17 June 2009, at 10:00 am in front of the Tirana City Hall.

Hapja e këtij aktiviteti kulturor do të bëhet në kushtet e një rrethimi të plotë të akademisë Marubi.

Prania juaj do të ishte një sinjal i fortë proteste ndaj kësaj dhunë të pashëmbullt kundër UNIVERSITETIT, KINEMASE, ARTIT, NATYRES DHE STUDENTEVE.

Today at 18 : 30, at the Academy of Film & Multimedia Marubi, the VII week of film “Iberoamerica on the screen”, will be opened.

The film week is brought to you by the Spanish Embassy in Albania and AFMM

Films will screen every day at 19:00 hrs, from 2 to 7 of June, subtitled in albanian and in english. This activity will be held under total AFMM surrounding.

Your presence will be a strong sign of protest towards this unprecedented violence against, THE UNIVERSITY, CINEMA, ART, NATURE AND STUDENTS

Aujourd’hui à 18h30, à l’Académie du Film & Multimédia Marubi s’ouvre la 7ème semaine du film “l’Ibéro-Amérique à l’écran”.

La semaine du film vous est présentée par l’Ambassade d’Espagne en Albanie et l’AFMM.

Les films sont projetés tous les jours à 19h, du 2 au 7 juin, sous-titrés en albanais et en anglais. Cette activité est tenue sous l’encerclement total de l’AFMM.

Votre présence sera un fort signe de protestation face à cette violence sans précédent contre l’UNIVERSITÉ, LE CINÉMA, L’ART, LA NATURE ET LES ÉTUDIANTS.

E nderuara zonja Vjollca, i nderuar zoti Enkelejd!
Ju patjetër jeni në dijeni për konfliktin që është hapur, në mënyrë krejt të panevojshme dhe artificiale, midis Akademisë së Filmit dhe Multimedias “Marubi”, për lulishten që ndodhet para kësaj Akademie, në territorin e ish-Kinostudios “Shqipëria e re”, ku stacionit tuaj televiziv i është akorduar nga qeveria shqiptare për marrje me qira një territor i përgjithshëm prej 4.918 m2, me vendim nr. 1445, dt. 29.10.2008.
Në këtë vendim cilësohet vetëm se këtë sipërfaqe “Top Channel”-i e merr te objekti ish-laboratori i filmit”. Në të vërtetë, te ky ish-laborator, (përreth e përpara tij) janë të gjitha mundësitë që të plotësohet nga stacioni Juaj territori i akorduar për shfrytëzim me një sipërfaqe të përgjithshme prej 4.918 m2.
Shtrirja e këtij territorit drejt perëndimit, përtej rrugës që ndan ish-laboratorin e filmit nga AFM “Marubi” dhe zaptimi i lulishtes aktuale para kësaj Akademie, është një interpretim keqdashës i vendimit në fjalë, i nxitur në mënyrë të veçantë nga ish-ministri i Kulturës, Ylli Pango.
Ai ka për qëllim të fusë në konflikt një shkollë të nderuar filmi, të vetmen që funksionon në Shqipëri me të gjithë parametrat europianë, me një stacion po aq të nderuar televiziv, siç është “Top Channel”-i, i cili nuk ka aspak nevojë të shkatërrojë të vetmen lulishte që ndodhet në territorin e ish-Kinostudios, të presë ullinj qindravjeçarë dhe dhjetëra pemë të tjera, për të hedhur aty beton ngjitur me godinën e Akademisë “Marubi”.
Jo vetëm përpara ish-laboratorit të filmit, por edhe më tej ka sipërfaqe të mjaftueshme djerrë, ka godina të amortizuara ose gjysmë të shembura, ku mund të realizohet sipërfaqja akorduar stacionit tuaj për marrje me qira.
Ne që nënshkruajmë, njerëz të kulturës, intelektualë, artistë e pedagogë, e ndiejmë veten pjesëtarë të kulturës që kultivon e rrezaton “Marubi” po aq sa ç’jemi pjesë e bisedave ose emisioneve të tjera të stacionit tuaj të nderuar, ku kemi ardhur sa herë na është kërkuar prej jush. Ne nuk mund ta kuptojmë që “Top Channel”-i duhet të zhvendoset ose të zgjerohet duke shkatërruar një institucion tjetër kulturor.
“Top Channel”-i, qysh sot ka punësuar regjisorë e redaktorë që janë diplomuar te “Marubi”. Ju e dini fare mirë se çdo universitet (dhe këtë status “Marubi” e ka të akorduar nga qeveria shqiptare prej 5 vjetësh) ka nevojë për një copë lulishte, ku do të çlodhen e rikrijojnë studentët, aq më shumë studentët e arteve vizive, të filmit.

Ju lutem kuptojeni, e nderuar zonja Hoxha e i nderuar zoti Joti, se momenti kur buldozerët dhe fadromat do të hynin në lulishten para Akademisë “Marubi”, do të ishte një pamje e turpshme, do të ishte një zhgënjim i thellë jo vetëm për ne, po për çdo shqiptar, për çdo prind që ëndërron në të ardhmen që fëmija i tij të studiojë për kinematografi a për media të tjera vizive.
Ju lutemi të distancoheni nga çdo zgjidhje që cenon dhe shkatërron të ardhmen e kësaj Akademie filmi të ngritur me një pasion të veçantë nga drejtori i saj, Kujtim Çashku dhe nga gjithë ekipi i tij, nga pedagogë shqiptarë e të huaj që i kanë dhënë emër kësaj shkolle edhe përtej Shqipërisë.
